Treat your Enemies Right

This an inspiring story which was shared by a fellow friend. Is a bout a victim show kindness to a mugger. Although, his belongs were taking, he still treat him with a warm heart. Click on the link to read the whole uplifting story.

Many of times, when we face people that we don't like or evil people and we be most of the time condemning them of their fault and wrong. It is good to correct them of their wrongs but sometimes we clouded with anger and frustration which makes the situation worse.

In the story, being calm and have a big heart can turn people around ( 180 degrees ). Instead of fighting fire with fire or an eye for an eye, a gentle and kind heart can lead to mutual understanding and changing of lifes.

In the story, he eventhough the mugger did something bad to him, he still attempt to befriend and to understanding him more. Even to the extend of caring for him. How many people actually does this?

This story reminded me of Jesus, no matter how bad we messed things up , hurting him by doing wrong and run away, he will still be waiting at the door step everyday expecting your return. What more he go out there just to find you. Just like the story of the lost sheep, where the shepherd leave the 99 sheep behind just to find a lost sheep or in the story of the 'prodigal son' where the father waited expectedly for this son to return.

The Neverhood Chronicles

If you like Claymation, Stop-motion, weird or just random stuff, then THIS IS A GAME FOR YOU...jajaja.....

The Neverhood Chronicles a Claymation Style game. Created in 1996 and released by Dreamworks studios, its one of the unique PC games I ever played.With its weird and interesting music, animation and gameplay, its certainly (to me) an awesome experience xD. There are not may claymation style games in the market and most of them went unappreciated. This was probably cause by the the decline of adventure games in the 1990s.

This is Clayman, a ...clayman... lol.. Throughout the game you be guide the character to solve weird puzzles and explore the Neverhood (weird piece of land which floats in space *spoiler*).

In the beginning of the game, there is no prologue or whatever guide, direction and introduction to the character so alot of questions about the origin of some characters and their roles. All this question will be answered after you experience the game until the end.

Hall of records.. the longest hall walk ever experience. Took 5 mins just to get to the other end!!

ALU a.k.a computer's common sense

AN interesting assignment came up where my group are required to design an Arithmetic Logical Unit a.k.a computer's common sense.... Using Quartus 2. The programming language VHDL is totally alien compare to the common programming language like C/C++ or java ,As we are design hardware and not software, thus the understanding of the flow is different ( not all of the flow are sequential ) and need to imagine alot how the hardware works and which component to use to construct it ( think like a hardware, be the hardware :P )

To put in simple terms, ALU is a :

• -Translator

( translate instruction( japanese boss) into machine language(worker in some country) that the CPU understand, みましょう食べる translation : Lets eat)

• -Accountant

( calculate stuff, 1+2=3 )

• -QC department

( measure, compare stuff, 9 is bigger than 5)

Being a perfectionist is a good thing? try to give the best eventhough it improve only sligthly? orderly and clear for long term? The details of his creation is important? details in others' lifes are important? transparency suppose to help and give a clear picture? being good is not doing nothing? expose my skin expecting be pinched so i can wake up? being a backstage is a good thing? learnt what he given is it not worth at the end? is just do it without a plan is as good to just do it with a plan?

Was doodling during my tutorial class... took me about 20 minutes while doing the tutorial questions. At first i plan to do just the face and the hair, then i got carried away :P end up drawing extra stuffs. Hmm... i suppose there are many things you can do during tutorial class other than questions if you can multi-task or finish the questions earlier.

I think my notebook gonna be like a FCM's sketch book with some equations( Engineering) if this goes on...Wait.. it already is =.=

- embedded bible text in flash. In this experiment KJV bible text are used from some website. Inspired by the Java version of bibles. the content is reformatted from the source file using another program before embedded to avoid formatting process which causes lag time every time a different book is selected.

Feature:

-'text' scrollable drag ( like scrolling of touch screen smart phones like HTC )

-Enable/disable of text select for copy n paste

-Search engine for verse, chapter or word

-Navigation to other books

Description:

-Read from (an) external file(s) [ follow a certain structure on how the content are allocated] and sort it out based on words and definitions in order ( case sensitive )

-unable to process Unicode of non-common letters (e.g ë,ẽ ) as it affects the whole string

Made my very own ENCRYPTOR =D wee~ covert text to weird numbers. Still got room for improvement ^^ all though it's not having the top-edge encryption method , its good enough to conceal any message less you are a really good hacker >~< . It cannot take in all the funny characters only certain ones. Anyhow, just happy it works^^

Extra Feature : A scrollbar, and user input encryption key

P.S. : ActionScript is really not the best language to use in terms of advance numerical methods like matrices, it's as complicated as C language >.< .. took me quite awhile to do it

MASTERMIND the logical game ^^ Pretty simple to do with AS in flash. Really learn a lot by doing this.( inspired by the matlab*click* version ;) )

Identity in the Father / My Dad upstairs

Based on the story of the Prodigal Son where 'prodigal' means one who is given to wasteful luxury.

Most teens can be related in this story. Where we just want to get out from the house and do our own thing and have fun. Sometimes without having a second though.

Here we can see that the son demanded to have his inheritance give to him before his time. He already have the inheritance but it is not the time for him to use and be given to him. It's like giving a 12 year kid a BMW for his birthday. Although he is able to drive it but he lack judgement and is not ready for the responsibility. You expect someone to get hurt. But in the story, his father love him so much until he gave it to him.

After that, He when out far away to another land.The money was spent unwisely and the son indulge himself in 'wild living' the world that time could offer. He end up broke. At the same time, famine came and food was hard to come by, and he have to work as a foreign laborer in a pig farm. He have to get himself dirty and eat pig food.

He finally decide to return home, as he cannot stand it. He was in guilty as he realize the what did ( spending the father's money unwisely) was wrong and end up being a lowly labor. He expected his father to be horrifically angry. He even think that he would be not accepted in to the house and by his father. Thus,when he gets back,he though up about how to plead his father to accept him as a servant as even a servant live better then him currently.

However, when he return, his father saw him afar, and just rush to him without and hesitation. He got himself dirty( as the son work in the pig farm and probably didn't bathe as he is broke to go to any hotel to bathe ) by throwing his arms around him and kisses him ( in the cultural way). even though the son said the he was wrong toward him, the father just ignore him and dress him with proper attire.

Just like our parents but especially our father in heaven is willing to give as he love us. And although we did wrong or stained in sin, we are still accepted as his children and waiting for us. As we return to him, we are clean again just like the father as the servants to bring new clothes for the son, we are given the authority as the father gives the son the ring and we are made a close part of the family and able to walk without dirtying our feet as the father gave him the saddles. By receiving this his appearance is recognized so his son ( identity ) and no a worker working in a pig farm.

So, we must NOT think ourselves of unworthy people as we committed sin or having practice hidden sins or being trapped by addiction. He always the waiting for you to come to him so He will cleanse you and to walk through it together and to be in his likeness ( like father like son) to find our identity as his children. So, never distant yourself when you face temptation or failure or even thinking you dont have any gifts or talent to serve him or compare yourself lowly to others.

Week B4 exam :D

In the mist of the stressed atmosphere in Cyberjaya..... while studying, i suddenly go tempted to explore actionscripts 2.0 ....... however, my pc only have MATLAB T.T .... ah,well at least it's programmable :)

Here is what it did :P

Made a mastermind-' like ' game... feature with 3-bit sounds ( like the console in the old times..lol ) and with a dynamic updating scoreboard

Next i made aaa....this effect you can do in photoshop... some inverting + gray-scale thing...

I quantized the value of each strength of each pixel in to 5 discrete levels.... as you can see the black-gray-white image next to the original
